Alex Davis
"We shouldn't judge people by the gifts that they have, but how they use their gifts."
Name: Alex Davis
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Faction: Mars Colony
Rank: Lieutenant
Occupation: Mars Mobile Suit Pilot
Race/Type: Newtype
Personality: If someone whom knew Alex were to try to sum up his personality in one word, then that word would be chivalry. He's kind and gentle at heart, more then willing to lend a hand when people need one, not afraid to cry when he needs to, has a sense of humor, and will keep any secret that you tell him. When a fight breaks out though, be careful around him since he's more then willing to kill if he has to in order to keep his friends alive. He also has an honor code that he refuses to deviate from.
However, thanks to the loss of his beloved adopted mother and having his hopes and dreams shattered from the Second Bloody Valentine, Alex has a bit of an emotional shell around him, and it takes a little bit of coaxing to get him to come out of that shell. After that, it takes a little bit more coaxing and time for him to consider you a friend, but once you are friends with him, you're friends with him for life and he''ll watch your back no matter what, even if it means stepping into the cockpit of a mobile suit. Once everything is said and done, Alex can handle just about anything that is thrown at him... well, save for one thing... flirting. Thanks to having 'no time' for dating as a kid and an adult, Alex has no experience when it comes to dating and only blushes like a ripe tomato when someone does flirt with him.
History:Born down on Earth to parents that held a strong dislike for coordinators, it's hard to believe that Alex was a test pilot for ZAFT between the first two Bloody Valentine wars, then served during the Second Bloody Valentine War. Having lost both of his birth parents in a car crash while he was at a daycare when he was only three years old, Alex was placed in a foster home and stayed there for about a year before a fourth generation coordinator woman named Lily adopted Alex as her son and took him to the PLANTs. There Lily raised Alex with love and care, while teaching him to be a respectful, honorable, and that he shouldn't judge a person by their DNA or how they look or what skills they have, but rather what they use their skills for. These lessons proved their worth ten times over as Alex went to school, since he had trouble with keeping up with the Coordinator children he grew up with. Sadly though, it wasn't until Alex started going to college in another one of the PLANTs that he finally started to get some good friends he could trust.
On Bloody Valentine when a nuclear attack was launched on Junius Seven, Alex lost his mother while he was in college to be a mechanic. Enraged that this is what the Earth Alliance troops chose to do with their gifts, Alex almost quit college to join the ZAFT Military, however his friends convinced him to stay and finish his education, that way they could all join ZAFT all at once and have a better chance at staying together while on the battlefield. Alex agreed and signed up to be in the ZAFT military when he and his friends graduated from college. While his friends were welcomed into ZAFT with open arms, Alex was met with a stern glare when they learned that he wasn't a Coordinator and demanded to know why a 'natural' wanted to fight the Earth Alliance, but after Alex told them the reason he wanted to fight was to avenge his mother and that they should judge him by his deeds instead of his genes, Alex found himself wearing the uniform of a ZAFT recruit. The training was hard, and several times he almost got thrown out because he had difficulty keeping up with the other recruits, Alex never gave up, and his Newtype abilities started to awaken as a result.
During a mobile suit training session with Alex in a GINN, a small group of Earth Alliance special forces had managed to sneak into the ZAFT academy. While a few stole a couple of GINNs to act as a distraction, the rest of special forces entered the academy and tried to find documents on how ZAFT pilots were trained in piloting mobile suits to give themselves and edge when EA mobiles suits were prepared. When the EA pilots saw Alex's GINN, they attacked him, hoping to catch him off guard. Sensing danger, Alex had managed to maneuver his GINN out of harm's way and started to hold his ground against his attackers. While Alex's GINN did suffer some damage, he did manage to slash off the right arm off of one of the attacking GINNs before real pilots arrived in GINN High Maneuver Types and took the attackers out. When his instructor asked Alex how he managed to stay one step ahead of his attacks, Alex explained that before the EA GINNs attacked that he 'felt' some sort of pressure that seemed to warn him of an incoming attack. While the instructor wasn't convinced of what Alex was saying, the facts still remained that Alex, whom had just stepped into a mobile suit cockpit for the first time, had held off two other mobile suits whose pilots had more experience. With that in mind, Alex was transferred to a new training facility meant for training pilots that seemed to be gifted. Once Alex's training was finally completed, the only battle he participated in during the Bloody Valentine was the last one, and he only lasted about five minutes and took out four Daggers and one nuclear missile before he tried to face the Freedom and ended up with both arms and the head of his mobile suit shot off. So much for special training.
In between the first and second Bloody Valentine wars, Alex became a test pilot and assisted in the development of the ZAKU and ZAKU Phantom mobile suits. He also one of a select few test pilots that piloted the ZAKU Splendor, which acted as the test bed for the three-module combining system that was put into the Impulse Gundam, though Alex never saw the Impulse until after the EA forces stole the Gaia, Chaos, and Abyss. When Alex heard that it was ZAFT soldiers with a grudge that tried to drop Junius Seven, Alex was enraged once again because he had suffered just as much as those pilots did and yet he had never thought about doing anything that horrid and was appalled that those soldiers would use their skills for that. When the EA launched their battleships against the PLANTs and started the second Bloody Valentine War, Alex had assisted in the defense by piloting a Slash ZAKU Phantom that was painted purple with yellow trim. He piloted the same mobile suit throughout the whole war and was wearing a black uniform until the announcement of the Destiny Plan, which shook Alex's resolve to pieces. It flew in the face of everything Alex believed in when it came to a person's gifts.
Unable to put his personal beliefs aside, he joined the ZAFT forces that flew to Lacus's side... and was astonished to find the ZAKU Splendor aboard the ship he had joined, and used it in the battle to keep the ship he was aboard safe. Once the second Bloody Valentine war was over, Alex decided enough was enough and left ZAFT and joined the Mars Colony. Alex now works as a mobile suit pilot for the Mars Colony, escorting Mars transport ships that move around Mars, mainly mining ships that gather resources from the asteroid belt. However, he can almost feel another war approaching, and that same feeling is telling him that he won't be able to stay out of it. He's not getting this feeling because of his piloting skill, but because the Mars mobile suit he's piloting is a Gundam.

RP Sample: Within the vast emptiness of space, a lone Mars mining ship was slowly making its way through space, returning to the red desert planet from a mining operation within the asteroid belt. If someone had said that this was a brand new ship though, no one would have believed it. The once gleaming paint was now covered with dark blotches and smuts that almost looked like the ship had been hit with some sort of beam weapon repeatably, and the armor of the ship was covered with craters as if the ship had gotten caught in a meteor shower. It was a sad sight alright, and it was any mechanic's worst nightmare to fix. One of the ship's cargo holds had been converted to hold and deploy mobile suits, and the sights were just as bad as the ship. There were three Mars Trooper mobile suits, and they were all in very rough shape. Two of the Mars Troopers were in rather bad condition, being riddled with bullets holes and both units were out of missiles. One of them was armed with a double gatling gun, and one of the barrels were bent, the other was armed with a bazooka, and it was out of ammo as well. At the feet of these two Mars Troopers were their pilots, both of them with glum looks on their faces. The third Mars Trooper was in the worst shape of all on the account that it was missing its left arm, and the beam cannon that it normally carried was missing. The pilot for that mobile suit was currently in the infirmary.
There was a fourth mobile suit standing among the damaged mobile suits, and it was in better condition and it was still capable of going into battle, though it was still damaged. The odd thing about this Mars Trooper was that it didn't have the standard green paint job like the other Troopers, but rather a purple coloring with yellow trim around the torso, hands, and feet, and it still had its beam cannon. The pilot for this mobile suit wasn't in the make shift hanger though. He wasn't in the infirmary, nor the mess hall, nor in the other cargo hold were all of the raw materials they had acquired in the asteroid belt were located, and he certainly wasn't on the bridge with the captain. Nope, he was in his quarters, fast asleep, still wearing his purple normal suit. Sitting quietly on the night stand next to the pilot's bed was a haro, also painted purple to match the pilot's normal suit and mobile suit. As the pilot slept, a red indicator light on a wall panel, right next to a view screen, started to flash as a beeping noise started to sound, but the pilot slept through it. The haro, on the other hand, woke up right away and it's eyes started to glow yellow. "Aygaros, wake up. Aygaros, wake up." The haro chimed, and that seemed to make Alex stir in bed, but he quickly covered up his head with his pillow. "Haro, I just came off duty from defending this ship from that same group of pirates again. Five more minutes..." Alex said, his voice muffled by the pillow being over his mouth. Haro's flaps opened up and it quickly started to hover towards Alex until it was over the pillow where his head was located. "Aygaros, wake up. Aygaros must wake up."
The moment he heard that, Alex's eyes went wide and he threw off the pillow, knowing what his Haro was about to do. "Wait! Haro! I'm-OW!" Alex howled in pain as Haro slammed itself into his forehead, with more force this time then normal... however all of the other times Alex still had the pillow over his head. Alex sat up quickly and held his hands over his forehead. The force of him sitting up so fast resulted in Alex somersaulting in mid-air, a result of having no gravity, and he only stopped once he reached the far wall and grabbed onto a handrail there. Taking his other hand away from his forehead, Alex looked at his reflection in the view screen and saw a red mark on his forehead that was going to soon turn into a bruise. "Nice one Haro..." Alex grumbled as he finally pressed the indicator light, and the elderly captain appeared on the screen, and he was holding a stop watch. "Yes sir?" Alex stated as he composed himself. The captain didn't answer at first, but instead clicked the stop watch to stop it and showed the stop watch to Alex. "26 and a half seconds to respond. I'd say Haro had to wake you up again... and from the looks of it, without the pillow this time. Heh heh!" The captain stated with a chuckle, which was followed by a flood of laughter, clearly from the captain's command crew. Alex let out a groan and rubbed his forehead. "You wanted me, sir?" Alex stated as he ignored the comment about Haro waking him up again. The captain composed himself and cleared his throat. "Yes Lieutenant. I need you head back to the mobile suit hanger. John and his mobile suit are leaving, and we're getting a mobile suit to replace his... as well as two new pilots. Command wants you to go with John over to the transport ship that we are dropping him off onto. Their captain says that their ship is carrying your new mobile suit I'm not sure if you'll be coming back to our ship, so take Haro with you." The captain stated, and Alex's eyebrows went up in surprise. "A new mobile suit sir? My Trooper is working just fine, but very well." Alex stated, and the captain nodded. "Very good. The shuttle that will take you and John over is currently entering the mobile suit hanger, so get a move on. I'll have someone with an ice pack waiting for you." The captain stated, then chuckled again as Alex's face turned red, and the screen went blank. With a shrug, Alex grabbed his normal suit helmet and put it back on, then grabbed Haro and held the softball sized robot in his left hand. "Go! Go!" the Haro chimed, and Alex went into the hallway, made his way down to the hanger, got onto the shuttle, and rode it over to the transport ship.
When he climbed out of the shuttle though, he was in for a big surprise. There were seven mobile suist in the hanger they landed in, but it was unlike any mobile suit he had ever seen. It was clearly a Gundam, but unlike any he had ever seen. It had wing like structures on its back, and the legs almost looked like they were meant to fold up. What's more was the two rifles hanging from the hips of the mobile suit almost appeared to be buster rifles and not normal rifles. The other seven mobile suits looked like exact copies of the first, but their feet were constructed differently, and their heads and cockpits were replaced with was looked like radar domes and a receiver antennas of some kind that Alex had never seen before. "Close your mouth! You're drooling!" someone said from behind Alex. He quickly looked over his shoulder and saw the captain of the transport ship, a middle aged woman. "Yes ma'am." Alex stated and stood at attention.
The captain smiled and carefully drifted over to Alex and stopped right next to him. "Amazing, isn't it? This is the GW-9800 Gundam Airmaster. A transforming mobile suit that is meant to be piloted by a Newtype. These other mobile suits surrounding it are the GW-bits. They are they are meant to be controlled remotely by the pilot of the Airmaster through the use of the flash system. This brings the saying 'one man army' into a reality." the captain stated, and this type Alex really did start to drool over the Gundam. So that's what those antennas that replaced the cockpits in the bits were meant for. "Amazing..." Alex stated, though he couldn't help but wonder why none of the mobile suits had a beam saber. Surely there would've been room for at least one beam saber on one of the forearms. "And it's all yours." The captain stated, and that last comment made Alex's jaw drop to the floor. "Me?! Pilot that?! It's a Gundam! I'd gladly pilot it, but why me?" Alex exclaimed , clearly surprised about being given such a mobile suit. The captain smiled warmly at Alex before answering. "Lieutenant, you survived the final battle of the first Bloody Valentine War, acted as a test pilot during the time of peace, and you also survived the entire Second Bloody Valentine War by fighting your way though and nearly became a red-ace pilot. You've also been the only pilot we have that has been able to stand up against these space pirates that have been a plague to our mining ships. You're an ace pilot and a Newtype. This mobile suit is meant for you."
Alex was about to ask about how the Mars Colony managed to build a Gundam like this with such power when the ship shook from being hit by an explosive shell and Alex was thrown towards the Airmaster. Before the captain could react, Alex was already climbing up the Airmaster and climbing into the cockpit. The captain smiled up at the mobile suit cockpit as it closed, and quickly headed towards the bridge. Alex sat down in the Gundam Airmaster's cockpit chair and strapped Haro into a cargo holster, then he strapped himself into the cockpit chair, and hit the activation button, and the Airmaster's green eyes lit up. The controls were laid very similarly to a Mars Trooper, so it was easy to see where everything was, and it didn't take much to learn what the other controls were for. The hatch for the began to open as the captain's voice came onto the comlink. "By the way, I'm captain Susana Rowe. Lieutenant, those mobile suits that are attacking us seem to be the same pirates that have been hounding the mining ships. There are 12 of them, all of them are stolen Mars Troopers, painted teal. My ship doesn't have the weapons to make it through this. It's up to you Lieutenant. One last thing, my commander doesn't want to see that mobile suit or any of the bits that go with it painted purple!" The captain stated, and Alex nodded before grasping the controls as the hatch finished opening. "No worries there ma'am. I'm fresh outta paint. I'm gonna need a different normal suit to match this mobile suit though." Alex stated and the captain sighed. "I'll have one waiting for you when you get back."
"Lieutenant Alex Davis, Gundam Airmaster! Taking off!" Alex stated as the Airmaster grabbed its buster rifles and thundered out of the hanger shooting a teal Mars Trooper in gut with the left buster rifle. As he flew out of the hanger, his mind reached back towards the GW-Bits "Awaken... and come with me." Alex beckoned, and all seven GW-bits activated and followed Alex out of the hanger. "Incredible..." Alex marveled at the mobile suit's abilities, then headed towards the remaining 11 pirates. "You wanna attack a Mars Colony ship? You gonna have to go through me first!"
