Name: Ryan Pensler

Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Faction:ZAFT
Rank: RED
Occupation: Mobile Suit Pilot
Race/Type: Coordinator
Personality:
Ryan is kind, a quiet man with a light-hearted disposition. He has always been a rather calculated individual. Never one to leap without first thinking it through, he has always been able to maintain his cool-headed approach to things. Even under the most dire circumstances, he continually found himself, even from the earliest points of his career, thrust into positions of leadership. Because of it, he deals well with stress, and is able to focus on a task, keeping things within his control until a mission is complete.
Ryan rarely finds himself in situations he can't handle due to his methodical way of thinking. A stubborn man, Ryan has on a couple occasions disobeyed direct orders, whether due to his own sense of right and wrong, or his feelings of a cost of life. Ryan has often been seen as a very responsible person by all those around him, even at times to be overly self-critical, placing most of the responsibility for any mission on his own performance as a pilot and leader, often disregarding other factors.
History:
Ryan Pensler was born in Cosmic Era 65, to parents Richard and Lillian Pensler in the PLANTs. Ryan is a second-generation coordinator. At an early age, he showed an aptitude for strategic games and tactical simulations. Later, he completed high school at the age of 12, and was accepted to a technical college, though he only attended until he reached age 16, when he enlisted in ZAFT, later fighting in the Second Bloody Valentine War, where he was awarded the Cosmic Cluster for Bravery during Operation Ragnarök. As a result, he was assigned his own Mobile Suit Team after the conclusion of the Second Bloody Valentine War.
He served as the test pilot for the prototype of the ZGMF-1400/G Gelgoog, after which his talents as a pilot and leader were finally recognized and rewarded by becoming a member of FAITH. Assigned the newly rebuilt ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam, he was later involved with the final battle against the Librarian Works Forces, at their asteroid base facility in Cosmic Era 75. Thereafter, he was assigned to Admiral Kira Yamato's Counter-Terrorist Task Force (CTTF) division.

Ryan sat quietly in the back of the council chamber, until Lacus Clyne had finished her speech about the the space exploration plans that he had already brought underway. It had been a long speech, though not one that wasn't at least a bit interesting. Ryan smiled a bit as he thought to himself about how strange this all seemed; not long ago, ZAFT had been a bit more worried about defense and millitary development, since the alliance was still considering them a hostile enemy state (well, largely, at any rate). Now, however... now, they were talking about exploring the solar system in greater detail, using manned missions.
Ryan chucked softly to himself as he stood up and made his way down to the garage. It wasn't a very long walk down; there were only two flights of stairs to descend. He then rounded the corner, and there it was his antique car. He smiled to himself. He honestly couldn't help it; he had saved a very long time to get his hands on one that still worked after over a hundred years-a 1998 Nissan R-35 Skyline. More rare than normal due to the fact it was of the few western models-the driver's side on the left. He walked over to the vehicle, got in and started it up, pulling back and heading up the ramp to the road. Revelling in his find, Ryan started the long drive to get to his dormitory at his duty base.
