1. First and Foremost, no godmodding. This is heavily stressed, and extremely frowned upon. Godmodding includes, but is not limited to: Instant knowledge of how to use a Mobile Suit, especially if you have never seen one/piloted one/trained for it in the past. ANY special exceptions have to okayed by the Staff before anything of this nature is allowed. Further forms of godmodding also include cross-occupational. For instance, if you are a culinary cook, your obviously not going to have a doctorate in the medical field. (IE: No Open Heart Surgery for Chefs.) One more example is forms of hand-to-hand-combat. Not everybody will be capable of performing incredible acts in combat. Not everybody is strong enough to toss someone across the room, and special training is needed for many kinds of maneuvers. Certain kinds of backgrounds can compensate for this issue, but full training will be needed to have a high combat aptitude.
2. Autoing. This is also heavily frowned upon, and doing so will result in various levels of disciplinary action, depending on the severity of the infraction. Autoing includes, but is not limited to: Posting a action that the recipient cannot react against, or controlling someone else's character without permission. Examples include: Player A spins around, and shoots at Player B, plugging him in the knee, forcing him to drop to the ground in pain. At the same time, this also means that you cannot auto-defend against everything as well. You are all on Gamer's Honor to be fair about your actions, both Offensive and Defensive, so try to show your best face. there is an exception to this rule though. For example you chracter is taking part in a massive battle and you are describing your character fighting aginst NPCs (Non-Player Characters)
3. Do not beg, hound, or complain about Mod or Staff selection. These selections are based upon Admin approval. We will try to be fair about who gains staff positions, but not everybody who deserves it will be capable of becoming a admin, especially when the site is still low on members. Staff are reminded to be open-minded about their positions, and also are cautioned not to abuse it. It is a privilege, not a right. If a member has a interesting idea for a mini-plot, don't automatically dismiss it cause they are not staff/mod.
4. Any Adult interactions (IE: sexual in nature, anything that would not be acceptable to a Teen rated movie) cannot be posted in non-sanctioned Forums. Refusal to adhere to this rule will result in a ban due to the nature of the site. For all your Adult needs, there is an Adult Forum, and you are advised to go there if you so need to.
5. This is a literate site, one that we try to keep to grammatically correct terms. It is understandable that not everybody will have A++ grammar, however leet speak, or a general lack of dignity in posts will not be tolerated. Please spell out all your words (Unless your character talks in a particular manner, or is sending a message in a particular manner) and try to make sure that everything is typed out properly. Spell check is your friend. However, the occasional errors, mistakes, or misspellings are still acceptable. We are here to have fun, not be Grammar Nazis.
6. Keep your IRL Drama out of the main Threads. Chat Boards, or other areas designed for this kind of chatter are fine. HOWEVER, anybody caught promoting IRL Hate campaigns against a player, group of players, or a ethnicity will be banned. Please remember that some people can be sensitive to some topics, keep these things in mind to maintain a good site, as well as cohesion among all our members.
7. You must post your characters in the appropriate forums, and wait to to be accepted by Admin or Staff. Posting beforehand with a character that isn't accepted will result in a warning. Repeatedly posting with a character that isn't accepted will result in a ban. We will try to be fairly quick with the Acceptance/Criticism of characters, but we will never flat-out reject a character that conforms to the rules and settings of the site, though we may ask that you adjust certain things to fit into the setting for easier integration.
8. Do not harass other players. If you have issues with how they RP, their characters, or any ideas they promote, bring your issue to a staff member, and we will do what we can to resolve the issue without it causing disruption to the site.
9. To keep RP uniformity, please keep your posts the a 3rd person perspective. Do not post in First Person, and we should be fine.
10. Metagaming is not allowed. Just because you (as a player) know something does not mean that your character has the same knowledge.
11. Rules Pertaining to your account:
*Your display name must be your characters name
*Your avatar must be a pic of you or your ms
*Ship and mobile suit pics must be of the highest possible quality. There are plenty of Canon pictures for just about anything in the Gundam Universe so adhering to this rule should not be hard.
*Animation or anime character pics must be of high quality in order to be accepted. (Using character pics of pre existing characters from an anime you like is ok but remember you're not playing that character)
12. Please remember that not everybody is going to have a Top-Of-The-Line military model, Gundam level MS, as such things ARE usually specialty, and require a special kind of material for repairs, or ammo.
13. Canon characters generally have a first come, first served policy. So, the first person to complete a canon character application to a satisfactory degree and is capable of playing the character gets it. Please, no complaining if a character is taken.
14. When using the Gundam Craft forums, please be sure that you are not posting pornographic cosplay pictures, as this has recently become a popular thing to do. In addition, when commenting on someone elses project or thread, please remember: If you dont have anything nice to say, it's best not to say anything at all.
